Mae A. (Batchelder) Fouth, 90, of Peru passed away Dec. 6, 2012, in Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru, surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Zion United Church of Christ, Peru, with the Rev. Gary Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow at Peru City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday in Mueller Funeral Home, Peru. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the church.
She was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Peru to Vern and Lavina (Colver) Batchelder. She married Walter W. Fouth on Feb. 8, 1947, in Zion United Church of Christ, Peru.
She was a graduate of La Salle-Peru Township High School and attended Brown’s Business College, Peoria. Mae worked for Attorney Hoberg and Seig’s Auto Parts before having her family. She returned to work in 1966 in the business office of La Salle-Peru Township High School, retiring in 1985.
Mrs. Fouth was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Peru and was active in the choir and women’s guild.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Fouth of Spring Valley and Gary (Kim) Fouth of Peru; one grandson, Garrett Fouth of Iowa City, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 30, 1976; and one brother, Wayne Batchelder.
