Mendota’s Wyatt Martinson took home a pair of medals at Thursday’s Big Northern Conference Meet.
The sophomore ran a time of 22.99 seconds to finish second in the 200-meter dash, while he placed third in the 100 with a mark of 11.26 seconds.
Ryan Reeder and Mitch Humphrey finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the high jump for the Trojans, who placed 10th as a team.
Winnebago 11, Mendota 2
Garet Zinke had two hits and scored two runs but the Mendota baseball team fell to Winnebago 11-2 Thursday in Winnebago.
The Indians broke a scoreless game with four runs in the bottom of the third and added two runs in the fifth and five in the sixth.

Emily Peterson made 13 saves but the Ottawa girls soccer team fell 7-0 in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference match Thursday in Yorkville.
The postponed IHSA state bass fishing finals has been rescheduled for Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at Carlyle Lake in Carlyle.
The event, which was originally scheduled for May 3-4, was postponed due to high water levels at Carlyle Lake.
Several sectional tournaments were also delayed due to the weather. In all, 52 boats qualified for the state bass fishing finals, which is in its fifth year.
