Tri-DENT, La Salle police seize heroin, cannabis plants

Police investigating illegal drugs found heroin, cannabis sativa plants, marijuana-growing equipment and paraphernalia when they searched a residence at 223 Wright St., La Salle on Friday.

Jon P. Morton, 33, of 223 Wright St. was charged with unlawful production of cannabis sativa plants, a Class 3 felony; and Arthur D. Davis, 25, of 8141 S. Jeffery Ave.,Chicagowas charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin), a Class 1 felony, according to Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team.

La Salle Police Department assisted in the investigation.
