Daniel P. Neronsky, 27, of 15918 Vine St., Harvey (also listed in Streator) was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin) Monday in his Streator residence, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team said in a press release issued Tuesday. Neronsky was found to be in possession of 4 grams of purported heroin when police served him with a warrant alleging a parole violation, TRI-DENT said. The drug charge is a Class 1 felony carrying 4-15 years in prison. Bond is set at $100,000; but Neronsky could be unable to post bond under a Department of Corrections hold. DOC records show he was paroled in February after serving part of a 2-year sentence for cannabis possession.

DEPUE — Andrew Martinez, 26, of 115 E. Sixth St., Spring Valley was picked up during a traffic stop at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 29 near Lincoln Avenue on a La Salle County warrant for operating a watercraft under the influence, DePue police said.
PRINCETON — Donald L. Nelson, 50, of Tiskilwa was charged with improper lane usage and diving under the influence after a single-vehicle accident where the vehicle struck a fence at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of South Fairgrounds Avenue, Princeton police said.
